Abbreviations:

sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
trc = treble crochet
st(s) = stitch(es)

Directions:

ch 5; join with sl st to form a loop.

Round 1:
ch 3. 10 dc and 1 sl st in first ch st.

Round 2:
ch 3; 3 trc in same st.
3 trc in next st.
1 dc, 1 hdc in next st.
1 sc in next 2 sts.
1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc in next st.
1 sc in next 2 sts.
1 hdc, 1 dc in next st.
3 trc in next st.
3 trc, 1 dc in next st.
sl st in first st.
Cut yarn, tie off, and weave in ends.

See how easy? No? Then take a look below. The pictures show the pattern being worked from left to right because I am left-handed. This pattern is symmetrical, so it can be worked either left to right or right to left and achieve the same results.

Chain 5; join with slip stitch to form a loop. Chain 3 up from loop.

Double crochet 10 stitches.

Slip stitch finishes round 1.

Chain up from slip stitch to start round 2.

Work the first 3 triple crochet in the same stitch as the slip stitch.

Halfway point on the second round; just finished the single crochet 1, double crochet 1, single crochet 1 in the same stitch (forms the point at the bottom of the heart).

Finishing the second round; slip stitch in the first stitch (the stitch that you chained up from to begin the second round.

All finished! See, I told you they were easy!
