While all homes can benefit from more heat (fire), décor items with strong fire element shapes are best avoided in these three Bagua areas:

East
West
Northwest

Feng Shui of circular and round shapes

The round shape in feng shui decoration is an expression of the Metal feng shui element. Circular décor elements bring into your home the energy of clarity, precision, freshness, and equality that is the essence of the Metal feng shui element.

You have probably noticed that when you are in a space with large circular windows, for example, or a large round rug, your energy is more invigorated and more active. The round shape activates your energy and keeps it going; it is very active energy, albeit subtly expressed.

This is one of the reasons why a round table is the best shape for a table in many homes and businesses - it is the shape that allows a free, fresh, and equitable flow of energy between all members of the family or business.

With regards to Feng Shui, there are several areas in your home where it is best to limit many decor items to metal items. Avoid decorating with large round shapes in the following areas of the bagua:

East
Southwest

Similarly, there are several bagua areas in your home that benefit greatly from the Metal element, whether it is expressed in colors like white and gray, real metal decor, or round/circular shaped elements.

Feel free to bring strong ways of decorating metallic elements into these bagua areas:

Wavy, fluid, and curved shapes in your home decoration

Any decorative element with wavy, flowing, or curved patterns or shapes is an expression of the Water feng shui element. It's easy when you think of a shape as an expression of the actual energy of a feng shui element.

Water is fluid, flowing and infinitely elegant, which is why the best home decoration expressions of the feng shui element of water are the wavy and curved or sinuous shapes in the decoration elements and designs.

There are several areas in your home where decorating the water element of feng shui is very welcome. These are the following areas of Bagua:

North
Southeastern
East

There are also Bagua areas where it is best to limit a lot of wavy, flowing, or curved patterns in your home décor. Limit them to:

Southeastern
Southwest
West
Northwest
Northeast

It is easy to understand why the rectangular shape expresses the feng shui element of wood: its energy grows upwards just like the tree.

There are several baguá spaces in your home that benefit from the Wood element, whether expressed in a rectangular-shaped decoration, in green and brown colors, or in real pieces of wood.

Feel free to bring a decoration with strong wooden elements in the following areas:
