DIY Corner Shelf: A Practical and Budget-Friendly Woodworking Project
In this post, we are sharing a tutorial on how to build a simple and practical DIY corner shelf that can be constructed from just under $30 in lumber.
This corner shelf is perfect for displaying pictures, storing books and décor, or even as a plant shelf. The possibilities are endless!
Not only is this corner shelf practical and versatile, but it's also an easy weekend woodworking project that can be completed in just a few hours. The best part is that it's budget-friendly, making it an accessible project for anyone who loves woodworking.
The wooden corner shelf can be placed in any corner of a room and will look great against a black and white wall. It can be decorated with books and plants, creating a unique and stylish display.

What to know before building a DIY corner shelf
It's also important to make sure that while the glue is drying, you can assemble the frame so that you don't waste time sitting around waiting for the glue to dry. By the time the frame is built, the glue should be dry enough to cut the shelves out.
The tools and materials list for this build includes (2) 2x6x8 boards and (3) 2x2x6 boards. However, if you have a table saw, you can purchase (3) 2x6x8 boards and cut your own 2x2s from one of those instead. This will save you money and make the project even more budget-friendly.
We have also included a detailed video tutorial for those who are ready to start building their own corner shelf. With this tutorial, you'll have a beautiful and practical corner shelf in no time!
