Things I Used in This Project

  • ISOtunes Ear Protection
  • Miter Saw Stand
  • Circular Saw
  • Mallet
  • Wood Glue
  • Superjaws

I started off by flipping out the wings on my miter saw stand and cutting down the material that will make up the four legs.

After cutting the angle at the bottom of the leg, I went to the top and used a template to trace the required upper profile.

After tracing the shape, I used a bandsaw to cut it out. It can be a bit tricky to do with a bandsaw due to the length, so find a friend if you can. Otherwise a puzzle would work too.

After completely cutting one of the legs at the top and bottom, I used it to trace the different cuts on the three remaining legs and repeated with the cutting process.

Since this project is so large, it is easier for me to work directly in my workshop than in a bench. I put all four legs in the orientation they were going to finish in and began marking the locations of the stretchers.
