How To Build Speaker Stands
Build these custom speaker stands and learn a simple angle finding technique in the process.
Ideally, the stands raise the speakers to ear level for a seated person.
This is important because it aligns the subwoofers and tweeters relative to the ear and achieves the best sound balance.
High frequencies are often lost when the speakers are placed too high or too low.
Speakers placed on a shelf or table often cause the surface to vibrate, distorting the bass.
These speaker stands isolate speaker vibrations from the floor, allowing you to hear the bass from the speaker rather than vibrations from a shelf, table, or floor.
Speakers come in many sizes and shapes, so the height of the speaker stands depends on your unique speakers.
For this project, we have provided the appropriate dimensions for the speakers shown in the photo, but you can change the design to suit your individual needs.
