How to Make Wood Rings with Veneer

All you need is a varnish, a knife, CA glue (super glue/Krazy glue), and some sandpaper.

These rings get their strength from layers of varnish and glue. Because they are laminated, they are much stronger than a turned ring with a perforated backing.

Anyone can make these rings as they are so quick and easy to make. We use this as our wedding band. As they are made of wood, they need some care and touch-ups from time to time.

In this example, I am using Sapele and maple because I like the contrast between the two woods.
