Many children are loving and becoming obsessed with these little yellow minions from the movie "Despicable Me". So, if you haven't joined the fan club yet, it's never too late! Start by making a one-eyed or two-eyed minion using one of the patterns below.

You can follow along with Yolanda Soto Lopez in the video tutorial she offers. She also has a paid written pattern that you can purchase.

How to Crochet Hat Inspired by Despicable Me Minion

In this video, you will learn how to make these cute beanies inspired by the minions from the movie "Despicable Me".

The author used medium weight yarn, RedHeart Supersaver, in solid colors of Brilliant yellow, scraps of white, brown, black, and gray. You can choose any medium weight (4 on label) yarn that you prefer.

The pattern is virtually the same for all sizes, with only the hook size and round 4 changing. This makes it the perfect beanie pattern for everyone, from babies to adults.

In this final video, you will learn how to attach the goggles, hair, smile, and all other features to the beanie. I will also show you how to crochet the one large eye if you want to make a one-eyed minion.

This beanie is made using only basic stitches and requires medium-weight yarn. I used RedHeart Supersaver in solid colors, including Brilliant yellow, white, black, brown, and gray. Have fun crocheting!
