Fast And Easy! Crochet Velvet Scrunchies Pattern

Today we want to share with you a special post:

Velvet Lovin': Crochet Your Own Scrunchies!

The creator made this updated crochet scrunchie pattern late last year when she discovered a new crochet technique where she crochets two stitches at the same time!

She made some adjustments to the pattern and has a new pattern video to show you how she makes these super cute velvet scrunchies.

One thing we have found that makes these scrunchies ideal is that they are easy to crochet and hold their shape over time much better than other treble crochet scrunchie patterns.

This pattern uses what she calls double crochet 2 at a time and it is the PERFECT stitch for this pattern.

She was using sharp crochet stitches to make this type of crochet scrunchie and she thinks that over time the sharp crochet gets too loose and looks a bit gross with random loops of yarn here and there.

With this new stitch, the yarn doesn't frizz as much and looks so much better after crocheting and after use, this is her new favorite way to crochet velvet scrunchies!
