Node-ivating Your Monstera: A Guide to Promoting Growth

Unleash the Power of Nodes: How to Activate Many Nodes on Your Monstera

Want to take your Monstera plant to the next level? It's time to activate those nodes! Nodes are the small bumps on the stem of the plant where leaves and aerial roots grow, and activating more of them means more growth and a healthier, more robust plant.

First things first, prune with purpose. Removing brown or damaged leaves encourages new growth and activates nodes.

Cut back to a node and leave at least two leaves on the plant.

Make sure your plant is getting enough bright, indirect sunlight. Without enough light, your plant may become weak and leggy, inhibiting node growth.

Over or under-watering can inhibit node growth, so make sure you're providing the right amount of water. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer to give your plant the nutrients it needs to activate nodes.

Finally, train your Monstera to grow in the direction you want by tying the stem to a stake or trellis, or attaching it to a moss pole.

This will encourage upward growth and activate even more nodes.

By following these tips, you'll be activating nodes and taking your Monstera plant to new heights of beauty and health.

Remember to give it the warmth and humidity it needs as a tropical plant and enjoy your indoor jungle!
