5 Best Beaches in Jamaica

Today we want to share with you something special:
Enjoy the Best Beaches in Jamaica!
Jamaica is a large island with hundreds of miles of coastline, so expect to find a host of wonderful beaches here. Some of the best are in large resort communities like Montego Bay and Negril, but you can also find great beaches, surfing, and sand bars in more forgotten destinations like Port Antonio and Treasure Beach.
1. Doctor's Cave Beach, Montego Bay
Doctor's Cave Beach is named after a doctor who donated his beach property to form a swimming club; the property was once accessible through a cave that was later destroyed by a hurricane. It is a place steeped in history, especially since it is the strip of sand that helped put Montego Bay on the international tourist map. The beach is located in the heart of MoBay and is maintained by Doctor's Cave Beach Club, a membership club that charges an admission fee for use of the beach. However, it's a small price to pay for access to a great beach just off Gloucester Avenue with a clubhouse with changing rooms, the Groovy Grouper beach bar, and other amenities.
2. Cornwall Beach, Montego Bay
Just down the street from Doctor's Cave (no, really, you can walk there) is Cornwall Beach, a secluded beach with far fewer tourists and a great place to take a dip. For $ 5 (same as Doctor's Cave), visitors can enjoy a relaxing day on the sand with small crowds and delicious ocean breezes. And as a bonus, on "Cornish Sundays" beach lovers can enjoy a "bottomless" cup of Appleton rum - yum!
3. Treasure Beach, South Coast
If a desert beach is what you have in mind for your Jamaica vacation, Treasure Beach is the place to go. Known more for fishing and agriculture than tourism, this coastal community on the south coast offers a great opportunity to mingle with "real" Jamaicans, away from the tourist crowds. Expect desert sands, private coves, and quiet resorts, restaurants, and nightclubs. If you need a place to crash, try Jake's Hotel, beachfront, barefoot and stylish.
4. Seven Mile Beach, Negril
The longest beach in Jamaica is one of the best on the island. First developed in the 1960s, Seven Mile Beach is packed with resorts but retains a touch of Negril's spirit of free love with several designated areas for nude sunbathing, including the Hedonism II resort. Harassment from vendors selling everything from hair braids to marijuana can be negative on this beach.
5. Rose Hall Beach, Montego Bay
If you're in Montego Bay and looking for a quieter beach experience than downtown, head east to Rose Hall Beach. Stay at one of the luxurious beachfront resorts here, like the Iberostar, Half Moon, or the Hilton Rose Hall, and this glorious stretch of sand will be right on your doorstep. Otherwise, you can access this feature at the Rose Hall Beach Club, which features a restaurant, beach bar, and live entertainment, among other amenities.
