Hello, how are you today? Welcome to our blog About Travel. We hope you are very well and looking forward to a new post, travel video, or a new place to know or visit.
Today we want to share with you something special:
Explore The Best Things to Do in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt!
Situated at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El-Sheikh is the original resort town on the Red Sea. Visitors who flock to the city for a change of scenery after the dusty temples of the Egyptian countryside can look forward to beautiful beaches and world-class reefs for snorkeling and diving.
Water sports of all kinds are the main pastime in Sharm El-Sheikh, and after a rewarding day on the water or underwater, you can tell stories of your adventures in one of the city's lively bars. Other attractions range from traditional souks to protected natural areas and eclectic religious sites.
1. Discover World-Class Scuba Diving
There is something for all divers in Sharm El-Sheikh, from spectacular reef walls to colorful coral gardens, where warm water temperatures and excellent visibility make every dive a pleasure. Sharm's marine life is exceptionally diverse, with more than 1,000 species of fish, as well as turtles, stingrays, and whale shark sightings in summer. Scuba diving is a great way to keep costs down, but it's also worth taking a boat out to the world-famous reefs of the Strait of Tiran, where the deep walls offer the best opportunity for pelagic fish and sharks. Check out Emperor Divers for fun dives and PADI courses.
2. Famous diving shipwrecks in Sharm
For advanced divers, the biggest draw on a Sharm El-Sheikh dive trip is the area's iconic shipwrecks. First on most people's wish list is SS Thistlegorm, arguably one of the most famous wreck dive sites on the planet. During World War II, the Thistlegorm sailed from Scotland loaded with supplies for the Allied Forces in Egypt, where she was sunk by two German bomber planes. Most of her cargo, including motorcycles, Bedford trucks, and Bren gun carriers, can still be seen onboard today. Other famous shipwrecks include the Cypriot freighter Yolanda and the British steamer SS Dunraven.
3. Try your luck in other water sports
If you prefer to stay on the surface of the water, there are plenty of other ways to get your fix of sun and sea in Sharm El-Sheikh. Most of the shoreline dive sites are also accessible to divers, while boat trips take them to the more remote reefs of the Strait of Tiran and Ras Mohammed. You can even admire the reefs without getting wet on a glass-bottom boat tour. For those who enjoy high-octane water sports, there are plenty of opportunities for banana rides, tubing, kayaking, windsurfing, paragliding, and much more. Do you want to learn to kitesurf? Kite addicts can teach you in just 2.5 days.
4. Spend the day relaxing on the beach
Many of Sharm's best beaches are in Ras Mohammed National Park, but for sun worship sessions in the city itself, Naama Bay is the most popular option. Here, a wide expanse of golden sand surrounded by lively restaurants, cafes, and resorts forms Sharm's main tourist hub, a place to socialize, swim and spend the day reading on one of the many sun loungers. Further north, Shark's Bay is a slightly calmer and more authentic alternative, while Ras Um Sid, at the southern end of the city, is known as the most rewarding beach for diving and snorkeling in Sharm El-Sheikh.
5. Experience Sharm's eclectic nightlife
The epicenter of the city's nightlife is the Pacha open-air nightclub, where world-renowned DJs entertain the crowd until the next day. Little Buddha brings the trendy sounds of the Buddha Bar to this corner of the Sinai Peninsula; while the Bus Stop Lounge is a more relaxed nightlife spot with a pool table, drink specials, and great music. If you'd rather sit back and swap dive stories over a few beers than sweat on the dance floor all night, head to the Camel Roof Bar for the Friday night dive party; or sit back and admire breathtaking ocean views at Farsha Café.
