Thredbo and Perisher Valley have fully developed ski resorts with accommodations in the resorts themselves or in the vicinity of Jindabyne.

There is no accommodation at Selwyn Snowfields. Although skiers can find a place to stay in Adaminaby, which is about 45 miles away.

In Victoria, the ski slopes are much closer to Melbourne compared to the situation in New South Wales. The main resorts are Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Mt Buller, and Mt Buffalo.

Tasmania has ski slopes in Ben Lomond, Mt Field, and Cradle Mountain National Parks.
