How the Flower Square Is Made

1. Round 1, the flower: start in a ring and build the center of the flower with clusters separated by chain spaces, which become the petals.
2. Round 2, the frame: work long chain loops and clusters around the flower to create the open, square shape with pointed corners.
3. Joining: the squares are connected as you go, through the corners and chain loops of the last round, so there is no sewing at the end.
