How to Grow Sunflowers Successfully At Home

No plant says summer like a sunflower. The bright yellow flowers are like a smile on a stem. Growing sunflower plants is easy because they are heat tolerant, resistant to pests and grow quickly.

They are native to North America, so they can adapt to conditions in most places. Sunflowers are annual plants. These flowers look like giant daisies, with bright yellow (and sometimes red or brown) petals radiating from brown centers that ripen into a seed-filled head.

You can use them to cut flowers, leave them on the stem for a beautiful outdoor display in your garden, or harvest and eat their seeds. Here is a video on how to grow sunflowers.
