DIY Succulent Planter

Succulents make great low-maintenance houseplants that can be used to bring any environment to life.

This DIY planter looks great as a centerpiece on a tabletop or can be wall-mounted with a pair of L-brackets.

I did this with a short piece of a 4x4 post, drilling 2 "diameter holes and 2, 5 "deep.

I covered the pot with Minwax Polyc Acrylic to make it waterproof.

First I made a simple one with three holes for the plants and then

I made a really cool series of faceted planters with asymmetrical holes for the plants. 5 or 6 of these planters can be made from a single 8-foot-long 4x4, making them a great choice for DIY gifts.
