DIY Stenciled Cinder Block Planters

Reuse extra cinder blocks that are scattered around your shed by painting them in fun geometric shape patterns and stacking them on top of each other to create a colorful garden perfect for growing a variety of plants.

As well as being practical, these unique raised beds create an attractive and inviting garden space. However, the classic rectangular form of cinder blocks makes them perfect for a stencil project, especially older ones, which can fall into the don't use category if they contain fly ash mixed in with the concrete, cinder blocks are the ideal bed edge, too! They can be filled with earth and are used as their own potted plants.

The key is to take your time and prepare the ground to level it.
