Learn How to Plant Amaryllis Bulbs

Amaryllis Bulbs

Today we want to share with you a special post:

Planting Amaryllis Bulbs

The amaryllis is one of the most magnificent of all bulbs. Technically a Hippeastrum hybrida, brightly colored flowers on tall stems. They are sold as potted flowers or bare onions and come in red, salmon, pink, orange, and multi-color.

They usually bloom from late December to early summer, depending on when the bulb is planted. At the end of the growing cycle, the bulbs can be removed from the ground and stored in a cool, dry place for at least six weeks, then they can be replanted and re-bloomed.
