Discover the Easiest Way to Clean Your Microwave

Tired of fighting all the food that is cooked in the microwave? Finally, you can leave out all those expensive cleaners and elbow grease because there is an easy solution available - vinegar is the answer.

Simply fill a microwave-safe bowl with a mixture of half vinegar and half water and heat for two minutes on high heat. Then dip a sponge into the vinegar and water solution and use it to clean up any food stuck to the sides of the microwave. It will leave immediately, no strong weapons are required.

Why it works

Heating the vinegar and water evaporates all spilled food, while the acetic acid in the vinegar disinfects and deodorizes the microwave.

You've heard of steam cleaning a carpet; This process is steam cleaning for your microwave. And it's so effective that you may end up cleaning the microwave more often.

Benefits of cleaning with vinegar

There are many benefits to cleaning your microwave, or any other appliances, with vinegar, including that vinegar:

  • It is cheap
  • No harsh chemicals or fumes
  • It is an effective disinfectant.
  • Eliminate odors instead of covering them
  • It is friendly with the environment
  • Warnings and tips
  • The vinegar and water solution will be very hot after heating. Wear oven mitts or gloves to protect your hands.

If you still have vinegar after cleaning your microwave, use it to cut grease off your stove and kitchen cabinets, and even clean oily fingerprints from your stainless steel appliances. Vinegar is an excellent degreaser. Hot vinegar is even better.

But don't throw away that bottle of vinegar just yet. Use it to clean your kitchen and bathrooms from top to bottom, dusting furniture, and washing windows.

Then use it to clean and freshen your drains, wash your clothes, and thoroughly clean your carpet. Once you discover the hidden cleaning power of vinegar, you will discover that it has very little use for all those expensive store-bought cleaning products.

In addition to its cleaning ability, vinegar has many other uses. It really is a versatile thing. No home should be without a bottle (or two).

Create fragrant vinegar

You can even give the vinegar a more pleasant smell by making fragrant vinegar if you are not a fan of its natural smell. It has a wide variety of scents to add, many from your own kitchen or garden. You just have to find out which perfume you like best: think of roses, lavender, rosemary, mint, lemon peel, orange peel, lemon peel, and cinnamon stick.

  • WARNING: Avoid using dark-colored herbs, as they can change the color of the vinegar and potentially stain the surfaces you will use to clean.

Or use baking soda

If you're low on vinegar, try cleaning with baking soda. That box of baking soda in your pantry has as many uses as vinegar. And when you combine the two, there are very few messes you can't solve.
