How to Grow Your Own Edible Mushroom

Hello, how are you today? Welcome to our blog About Gardening. We hope you are very well and looking forward to a new post or Gardening Tutorial.
Today we want to share with you a special post:
Edible mushrooms (various species)
Believe it or not, it is now possible to grow your own edible mushrooms at home quite easily. And no, you don't need a dark, damp basement to be successful!
How to grow mushrooms
Cultivation
Mushrooms are grown from spores, generally called mushroom spawning. They need an organic substrate to grow, and there are many others suitable, including mushroom compost, horse manure, and straw, depending on the types of mushrooms you want to grow and the growing system you want to use.
You can also buy pre-made mushroom caps and bushings. All you need is freshly cut logs, drilling holes, and inserting dowels or dowels into the holes.
Most manufacturers prefer to use beech, birch, or oak, but alder, poplar, hazelnut, maple, poplar, and willow can also be used. Harvesting usually begins after 4 to 10 months and should continue up to 5 times a year for up to 5 years. Suppliers will provide all necessary growing instructions.
Hands down the easiest way to grow your own mushrooms are to use one of the pre-made mushroom grows kits, available from some of the major seed companies. There are also kits suitable for growing window sill mushrooms.
Mushroom varieties
Pre-generated mushroom, spine and plug spawning, and mushroom grow kits are available to grow the following types of mushrooms: white bud, chestnut, brown hat or portobello, shitake, oyster, yellow oyster.
How to care for mushrooms

Mushrooms are best grown indoors, but can be grown outdoors; You can even add mushroom seeds to the soil under your lawn to create an edible lawn!
Most mushrooms grow best at a uniform temperature of around 15-16 ° C (60-61 ° F). They don't grow much below 50 ° F (10 ° C) or above 68 ° F (20 ° C).
When using a mushroom kit, usually all you need to do is put it in a suitable spot, keep it reasonably warm, and add water. Place it somewhere away from direct sunlight and keep the substrate moist with daily misting.
The first harvest should be ready for harvest in a few weeks and after that, you should have at least 2 more harvests.
Harvesting
Mushrooms are usually ready for harvest when the shape of the cap is perfectly formed. Don't collect them all at once, let the little ones grow. But don't leave them too long or get bigger, otherwise, they will start producing spores when they are past their prime.
You can collect them by cutting them with a knife or by grabbing the mushroom by the base and turning it counterclockwise. Pulling the fungus directly out of the mycelium (the main target body of the fungus) with too much force can damage the mycelium and reduce growth.
Pests
Fungi can be susceptible to the following parasites, diseases, and problems: Compost/sciatica flies.
